7 things everyone needs to remember at all times

In this day and age, it’s easy to let life pass you by. It’s easy to be caught up in the next thing that needs to be done that we don’t stop to be in the moment.

So here’s your moment to pause life’s chaos for a few minutes and remember these seven things!

1. Drink more water
You already know that it’s super good for you! Drinking enough water has so many benefits like giving you healthy skin, gets rid of body toxins, boosts your energy, fights infection and more. Go and have a glass of chilled water right now!

2. Sleeping is good for you
Isn’t it just the best news you’ve heard in a while? Who knew taking naps would be so rewarding?

3. Your life doesn’t have to be documented on social media
Remember that you don’t have to update every one of your social media platforms. Instead of taking out your phone so often to update your status or to add to your Snapchat story, take in experiences and enjoy moments.

4. Being single doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you
It doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. Remember that you’re just as brave, driven and fabulous. Own it, babe.

5. A lot can happen within the space of 10 minutes
Change is bound to happen, and it can happen in a small amount of time. So when you feel as if nothing is going your way, keep your head up and know that it can change within a few minutes.

6. It’s okay to cry every once in a while.
Let down your guard every once in a while because festering negative energy is bad news.

7. Hard work pays off
It’s all about having a goal to work towards. Have that incentive to work hard and to reach that goal of yours, and you’ll find out that hard work really does pay off.

NAIL THE LOOK: Tips to achieve salon nails

You either hate doing it, or you love it. Yep, it’s all about painting NAILS today and getting them claws on fleek.

Avoid easy chipping and weak nails for good! You don’t need to be a professional nail technician to achieve perfect salon nails – just add these few simple things into your nail routine and just like that, you’ll definitely see an improvement on your nail game!

Shape your nails in a way that works for you. Make sure they’re functional for what you get up to during the day. If you work a lot with your hands, you don’t want to end up with broken nails!

Your nails need a good clean too! Before you start painting onto your nails, clean them beforehand. Soften the nails and give them a good scrub so that your varnish glides on with ease.

Push your nail varnish into your nail bed. Instead of painting in just one upwards motion, start in the middle of your nail and push the color towards your nail bed. Doing this will have you saying goodbye to streaks, and hello to even color.

Get yourself a really, really, really good top coat. Like, really good. It’s the last step in the routine, so it’s good to have a top coat that leaves your nails dry, in good condition and with little or no smudges.

When nails are dry, leave them in icy cold water. It dries and sets your nails even more and leaves absolutely no room for smudges or chips. Perfect nails always!

4 beauty trends to leave behind in 2015!

If you’re a beauty buff, you know that trends come and go like no one’s business.

Yesterday contouring was all the rage, today it’s the lilac hair and tomorrow it’ll be baby hairs swirled ever-so-stylishly onto your face. It’s a fact: beauty trends are always changing and it’s hard to keep up with.

The bad news is that this blog today is all about reliving and (hopefully) laughing about the bad beauty trends that we shall never speak about again. The good news is that you don’t have to do the research – here are the 4 beauty trends that we’re definitely leaving behind!

Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge
It was funny while it lasted and, as we all saw more and more Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge fail videos it became one huge face palm. Bruised mouths and bleeding lips is not what we want to see! And let’s be real, your lips are already gorgeous, honey!

Glitter everything
And we mean everything. Sure, a bit of shimmer on the eyes is fabulous, or some glittery highlight is hella pretty, but once your makeup sparkles like a disco ball, we see a big no-no!

Bad ombré
Okay, dark to light hair has had its fair share of popularity. We’ll admit that ombré is gorgeous when done right, but we’ll kindly decline bad and unblended hair color.

Sharp and boxy brows
Eyebrows were all the rage in 2015 (and still are!). Some people got it right and some people got it wrong. Everyone has unique brows, but let’s say goodbye to overly drawn on brows!

Is beauty your thing? We’ve got what you need.

Beauty trends to look out for in 2016

HAPPY NEW YEAR, LOVE BUGS!

We’re kicking off this beautiful year with some beauty trend predictions to look out for. We’re taking runway style and inspiring and challenging you to incorporate these trends into your own everyday style.

Tweak your style a little and try something new this year. Maybe a new hair style and cut? Or maybe treat yourself to some bold and bright lipsticks?

Here are the beauty trends to look out for in 2016.

Feeling blue
It’s all about applying some blue around your eyes, whether that be an eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, or maybe even a hint of glitter? Make your eyes pop!

Line it up
Winged eyeliner is so 2015. This year, experiment with unique ways that you can line your eyes. Go a little cray with the liner.

Dewy glow
Makeup artists have revealed that the dewy look is in. They want you to achieve the look that appears as if the person has been out all night dancing!

Off duty hair
Slick hair is out and day old effortlessly casual up-do’s are in. Don’t worry about the wind ruining your hair anymore, because that’s sorta the look we’re going for here!

Lip smack
A classic trend that will always be in style. Vibrant lip colors are in, so there’s an excuse to spend some dosh on more lipsticks!

Is beauty your thing? We’ve got what you need.

Things you should say goodbye to before 2016 | PART 2

Good morning to the final beautiful morning of 2015!

As the year comes to an end, we want to help you say goodbye to the things that you’d rather leave behind with the past year. We’re all for letting go, cleansing the soul and moving forward.

couple-598315_960_720

You’ve stumbled upon part two; you can read part one here x

Saying “no” to opportunities too often
Say goodbye to overthinking situations and letting yourself talk yourself out of opportunities. Just say “yes” and see what amazing things you could get up to.

Ungratefulness
Say goodbye to taking life for granted. Don’t complain as much and appreciate what you have, the people, the love and the support that you’re surrounded by. Go tell someone how much you love them!

Not ‘having time’ for important things
Say goodbye to not putting what’s important first. Get your priorities right and put more effort in to make time for the important things.

Being afraid
Say goodbye to the fear that you’ve built up. Whether it’s being afraid of letting someone fully in to your life, or if it’s your fear of spiders – work on it and ultimately tell yourself that you actually can conquer anything.

Cleanse your soul for the new year. Click here for Part 1.
