3 Things To Consider Before Making a Fashion Purchase

We know you’re all about that fashion life, and we get it – spending money on clothes is always a good idea.

But if you’re like most of us and have way too little money to spend for such expensive taste, then we want to help a sister out. We’re giving advice out for free – and who doesn’t like a freebie here and there?

Read on for 3 simple things to consider before making a big fashion purchase.

#1 Think of at least 3 different ways you can style the item.
If you don’t already have at least 3 different outfits that you can picture yourself in with this fashion item, then maybe you don’t need to buy it just yet. It’s good practice for buying less and getting more out of things.

#2 If you can’t stop thinking about it, buy it.
If you’ve talked yourself out of buying this thing for a long, long time and you wish you had this item to complete your everyday outfits, then maybe it’s worth investing in. It’s not like an impulse buy; if you can’t get it off your mind when putting together an outfit, go for it!

#3 Can you get a better deal for it elsewhere?
This is rule number one for any frugal friends out there. Shop around in-store and online to see if you can find the same item but with a smaller price tag.

Thoughts Everyone Has After A Workout

We’ve all been there. We’ve all had that love/hate relationship with working out.

A lot of us are in a complicated relationship with exercise. It’s extremely good for us, but we don’t necessarily love it back. I mean, we try to love it but, we’re more committed to the greasy goodness of fast food. It’s not you, exercise – its me.

How many of these thoughts have you had after killing a workout?

  1. Damn, I feel like a body builder right now.
  2. And just like that – I’m Khloe Kardashian.
  3. Went to the gym and didn’t take a mirror selfie. Proud of myself.
  4. I think I could treat myself to some nachos, right?
  5. Yep… Never doing that again
  6. Why do I keep doing this to myself?
  7. I feel so gross and sweaty but so good at the same time.
  8. I think I’m having an asthma attack. Do I even have asthma?
  9. I wonder how sore I’ll be tomorrow
  10. One bottle of water down! My body loves me.
  11. Did I even do that right? Toning, cardio – it’s all the same right?
  12. Have I got Kendall abs yet?
  13. I’m down with the exercise bit, but I’m not about that diet life.
  14. Maybe I should try to eat healthy now.. Or tomorrow?
  15. Maybe I should get a personal trainer
  16. So how many more times do I need to do this until I get a booty?
  17. Now to try out that new ice-cream place as a reward!
  18. I should go to the health store now that I’m in gym clothes.
  19. Just one more set?
  20. Who am I kidding. Let’s order pizza.

Werk it, babe. Check out these posts.

Cleansing Rituals that don’t involve food!

It seems like everyone’s on a cleanse these days. People are all over green juices, kale smoothies, detox waters – you name it – if it cleanses something, people are all over that.

How about a cleanse that betters your mind and soul? Doesn’t that sound indulging? Here are some ways that we recommend you get on the cleansing bandwagon… and it doesn’t even involve green food.

Screen Shot 2016-01-26 at 6.30.16 pmMeditate, appreciate.
It’s all about that calm life. De-stress yourself by Meditating, whether that means you take classes, participate with a group of friends or just Meditate by yourself in peace and quiet. It gives you the chance to clear your mind and fully relax.

Scrub-a-dub!
Love your skin and give it its own cleanse. Look for a good body scrub or you could even make your own. Scrub and exfoliate away the impurities to reveal your polished skin. Scrub and feel refreshed!

DO sweat it.
Speaking of getting rid of impurities, sweat out the bad stuff. Get your heart rate up and sweat, sweat, sweat! It may sound gross now, but not only does this cleanse your pores from impurities, but it keeps you fit, healthy and oh-so-sexy.

Let it go, let it goooo!
Let. It. Go. Just let it all go. The bad vibes, the negativity, your past – whatever it is, there’s time for you to take a moment and release all that bad energy in your life. Remember that your mind and soul needs to be fed with positives too!

All about the positives, babe. Check out these posts.

7 things everyone needs to remember at all times

In this day and age, it’s easy to let life pass you by. It’s easy to be caught up in the next thing that needs to be done that we don’t stop to be in the moment.

girls-1031538_960_720

So here’s your moment to pause life’s chaos for a few minutes and remember these seven things!

1. Drink more water
You already know that it’s super good for you! Drinking enough water has so many benefits like giving you healthy skin, gets rid of body toxins, boosts your energy, fights infection and more. Go and have a glass of chilled water right now!

2. Sleeping is good for you
Isn’t it just the best news you’ve heard in a while? Who knew taking naps would be so rewarding?

3. Your life doesn’t have to be documented on social media
Remember that you don’t have to update every one of your social media platforms. Instead of taking out your phone so often to update your status or to add to your Snapchat story, take in experiences and enjoy moments.

4. Being single doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you
It doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. Remember that you’re just as brave, driven and fabulous. Own it, babe.

5. A lot can happen within the space of 10 minutes
Change is bound to happen, and it can happen in a small amount of time. So when you feel as if nothing is going your way, keep your head up and know that it can change within a few minutes.

6. It’s okay to cry every once in a while.
Let down your guard every once in a while because festering negative energy is bad news.

7. Hard work pays off
It’s all about having a goal to work towards. Have that incentive to work hard and to reach that goal of yours, and you’ll find out that hard work really does pay off.

Things you should say goodbye to before 2016 | PART 2

Good morning to the final beautiful morning of 2015!

As the year comes to an end, we want to help you say goodbye to the things that you’d rather leave behind with the past year. We’re all for letting go, cleansing the soul and moving forward.

couple-598315_960_720

You’ve stumbled upon part two; you can read part one here x

Saying “no” to opportunities too often
Say goodbye to overthinking situations and letting yourself talk yourself out of opportunities. Just say “yes” and see what amazing things you could get up to.

Ungratefulness
Say goodbye to taking life for granted. Don’t complain as much and appreciate what you have, the people, the love and the support that you’re surrounded by. Go tell someone how much you love them!

Not ‘having time’ for important things
Say goodbye to not putting what’s important first. Get your priorities right and put more effort in to make time for the important things.

Being afraid
Say goodbye to the fear that you’ve built up. Whether it’s being afraid of letting someone fully in to your life, or if it’s your fear of spiders – work on it and ultimately tell yourself that you actually can conquer anything.

Cleanse your soul for the new year. Click here for Part 1.

Things you should say goodbye to before 2016 | PART 1

You’ve heard of New Year resolutions and for the most part, people never stick to them.

Instead, why not start fresh this week leading up to the new year by saying see ya later to the negativity in your life. Today and Thursday, Gold Vibez will be preparing your mind, body and soul for 2016 by letting go of the unwanted baggage you’ve maybe built up over this year.

IMG-2016

Get ready to greet the new year with an open heart and an open mind by saying goodbye to these things.

Thinking negatively about others
Say goodbye to negative thinking about people. It’s so easy to judge a book by its cover, so focus on steering away from that state of mind. Turn it around and think positively. More empowerment!

Poisonous people
Say goodbye to people who bring a whole lot of negativity into your life. You don’t need an excuse to walk away from relationships like these. It’s okay to be in control of who you let in to your life.

Body “standards”
Say goodbye to the pressure of reaching the “perfect body”. Set your own body goals and make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons. Remember babe, you’re already beautiful.

Thinking the worst in situations
Say goodbye to being a pessimist. It’s not a healthy thing to always expect the worst all the time, so stick to being more of an optimist in the new year.

Watch this space. Part 2 coming soon.
