Get those claws out – it’s time for a fresh, new mani!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
– Black and White nail varnish
– Gold nail varnish
– Clear top coat
– 2 shallow cups of water
– Nail varnish remover & cotton wipes
Start off with clean nails, then the first thing you’ll want to do is give yourself some black and white marble nails.
Not going to lie, this will take you about an hour, plus drying time. For that nail art DIY brought to you by yours truly, follow this tutorial!
Wait for about half an hour for your nails to dry and now we can move on to the gold!
Grab your second cup of water and pour some Gold nail varnish into it. Gently swirl it around with a toothpick.
Dip your fingernails in one-by-one. Allow a bit of gold to be applied over the top of your marble nails.
Once all your nails have been dipped in gold, let them dry for another half an hour to an hour. Then grab your nail varnish remover and cotton wipes and clean up the nail varnish you got on your hands!
Then after a few hours, apply your Clear Top Coat.
The final step is to accessorize like a BOSS with some gold Gold Soul jewelery and you’re ready to show off your new nails.
What’s that? You can’t get enough of the Marble print trend? And you wish everything that you owned was covered in Marble? Well you’re in luck because we feel the same way.
Last week, we posted another tutorial on how to get dipped Gift Tags, but if you’re looking for something a bit more challenging and even more unique and out-there, then you’ve stumbled across the right DIY.
What you’ll need
– 2 or more Nail Varnishes of different colors
– Cup of water
– A toothpick
– Gift Tags
– Paper towels
The first thing you want to do is pour your nail colors into your cup of water. Mix this up with a toothpick making sure there are not lumps!
Dip your Gift Tag in the water as far as you want the marbled effect to go.
Remove from the water and when you’re happy with the print, let it rest on a Paper Towel.
Once your tags are completely dry you can take a Marker of any color and write on your special message.
Tie some string onto that bad boy and attach it to your gift. Then, you’re good to go!

What did I say? Very, very messy.
STEP 5 Let your nails dry for at least 2-3 hours.
STEP 6 Remove the excess nail varnish that ended up on your skin with the Nail Polish remover and Cotton Pads.

Cell phones these days have pretty much changed the world. We get to see the world from all different types of views. We play games, take loads of pictures of our food, selves, etc. To some people, it’s their lifeline. So… it’s only right we protect ’em. I recently just got the iPhone 6 and there aren’t that many cases out for it yet so I decided, “Why not just customize it myself?”
I picked up a clear iPhone 6 case from Target, printed out a pattern, cut it to size, placed it in the back and there ya go! Your own DIY iPhone case. The best part about is, when you get sick of it… replace it with a new pattern! I’m sure you’d be able to do this with the 4, 5, 6 and some Androids just as long as you have a clear case.
What You’ll Need:
– clear phone case
– printed pattern, scrapbook paper (pretty much whatever design you’d like to have on your phone)
– actual size template of phone
1. I used CNN’s iPhone sizing chart here and cut it down to size.
2. On the back of my printed design (I chose a grey marble pattern from Google) trace around the template and then cut it back down to size.
3. Insert into case with the pattern facing outwards
4. Trace the inside of where your camera is supposed to be, remove the pattern again and cut a hole/space for it.
5. Place it back into the case facing outward, insert your phone
Ya phone is ready to go out!
I am loving my marble case right now. It looks pretty classic to me. I do suggest getting a case with a shockproof bumper and clear back if possible. I just ordered one off eBay and will most likely be inserting my marble pattern into that one when it comes. Feel free to add/subtract whatever your heart desires. The fact that you can choose whatever design/print/pattern is one of the best parts. Hope you guys enjoy!
