Little Things To Get You Through The Work Day!

Does every week at work feel like time slows itself down? Well lets change that, shall we?

You’d be surprised at some of the tiniest things that will make your day – or someone else’s. What can we say; a small gesture goes a long way! So if you find yourself stuck behind a desk at work, bored to death and wondering why you’re not soaking up the sun in a bikini somewhere in Greece, sorry but unfortunately we can’t pay for your dream holiday. What we can do is help you to enjoy your workplace just a little bit more.

Ahhh dat human interaction doeeee. Step away from your computer for a second and strike up a good old fashioned conversation with someone in the office. It’s as simple as asking about how someone’s weekend was. Have a laugh and wear a smile!

It’s such a good feeling, right? Stretching all your muscles after sitting on an uncomfortable computer chair for hours. Who cares if you look foolish, stretching is super good for you and you might even start a chain reaction of stretch breaks around the office.

Have a cup of tea or coffee at your desk with you
It’s the little things, ‘ya know. Always feel cozy at your office desk by simply having a cup of your favorite tea or coffee by your side. Sip it occasionally whenever you’re in need of a mini break.

‘Me’ time at work? It exists! Bring out the earphones and turn on some bangers. A perfect way to disregard all annoying characters in your office, or to cure those wretched mind blanks that stop you from getting shit done!

Anyone can do this one. Wherever you are, you should go out of your way at least once a day to compliment someone. Whether that be your boss, the newbie at reception or even that lovely person who served you when you bought lunch. You could make their day, as well as yours. You’ll be smiling all day knowing that you’ve spread good vibez.

It’s true. List making is essential for life. They truly are an amazing organizational tool especially if you’ve got loads on your plate. There’s some sort of satisfaction in being able to cross something off your list and moving on to the next thing to do. Make your list for the day, take that satisfaction, start crossing off those little projects and get shit done!

Wake up early

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to become a morning person – be in the right mindset and know that the next day is a fresh, new day and plan an amazing and exciting breakfast. That’s all it takes for you to quickly go from a zombie to the readiest you can be. The mornings are the best time of day to start your productivity – you’ll surprise yourself with how much you get done when the sun is shining through your window.

Reward yourself

So you’re planning to have the most productive week ever? This gives you the perfect excuse to reward yourself! Plan the best weekend with your best gang, whether that involves some cocktails and a dance on Friday night, brunch on Saturday morning, or a Dinner and Champagne on Sunday night. Have something fun or a little cray to look forward to after your most productive week ever!

We hear it all the time, but what does it mean?

It means don’t take life so seriously. We only have one precious life to live and, as strong, independent men and women, we have the power to live however we want. You got bad results in your test? Laugh it off and move on because that won’t even matter in a months time.

It means be grateful for what you have. We’re all guilty of taking life for granted and sometimes you just need to take a moment to remind yourself just how lucky you are. Look around you – you’re extremely lucky to have what you have and to be surrounded by people you love. If you love someone, go and tell them right now!

It means smile more. A single smile could be a total game changer. It could make someones day and it doesn’t cost a damn thing!

It means appreciating the big things. Go outside and look around you! Remember that the world is enormous and you’ve got the rest of your life to explore every inch of it. Soak it all in, isn’t it so beautiful?

8 Pick-Me-Ups For Bad Days

We all have those days where everything is just shitty. It’s easy to just sit around and waste the day away, but we have 24 hours in a day (as does Beyoncé), so why not turn all that negativity and bad vibes into positive energy and good vibes? Here are a few simple reminders of things that you could do to beat those shitty days. Peace!

Get comfy and put on your all-time favorite film

Grab some popcorn and put on the comfiest clothes you own. Whether you’ve got company or if you’re by yourself, you’re still gonna enjoy the shiz out of that movie.

Relax. Meditate and do some Yoga

It’s proven (…probably) that Meditation and Yoga boosts spirits. It’s easy, relaxing and so good for tha soul! A little relaxation everyday goes a long way.

Do some retail therapy. Treat yo ‘self!

Take yourself out for a shopping date and buy that thing that you’ve been eyeing off for the longest time. Sometimes it’s a good thing to spend big for yourself.

Pamper yourself

Take a long, warm shower or bath, or take yourself to get a full body massage. Wind down and de-stress for the perfect cure for a bad day.

Bake something, even if you can’t bake

Baking is an awesome way to take your mind off things that make you feel like shit AND you get to eat some tasty, tasty goodies that you just made.

Put pen on paper

Get all your thoughts out on paper – word vomit. Grab a pen and some paper and write something that motivates you. Write a list, a story, or even a letter that you have no intention of sending away.

Go for a walk

Slip into your best shoes and go outside for a bit of a stroll. Take your music with you and wander into places that are new to you. Appreciate the small things and enjoy yourself!
